Please find a supplies list of what to bring here. Note that large furniture items like bed frame/mattress, kitchen table/chairs, couch, and wardrobe will be provided. Your apartment is a shared space so please do not order extra items before talking to your roomate and/or housemates.
You will not be able to ship things to your housing before your move-in date.
A month before your start date you will receive a form where you will select a move in date and estimated time of arrival. If your travel changes you can update the form with a more accurate time window. At this time, you should book travel. Check out the Relocation page to see what airport or train station you should book your travel to.
You are responsible for purchasing and securing your own travel to your site. GO does not front the cost of travel to your site housing. Check out the Relocation page for more info on a relocation reimbursement.
You will receive your housing address over email. Some sites have the same housing year after year, so Fellows at those sites will have their housing information earlier.
Most Fellows will receive their roommate assignment when you receive your address one to two weeks before service. We cannot guarantee that you will know who your roommate is before the start of service.
Move-in dates are not finalized yet.
GO Staff members will hand you your keys and direct you to your assigned apartment. Please note that staff members are not able to help you move things into your apartment.
Forum is a week of training and a requirement for you to start service. This year's Forum will be July 28 - August 1 and take place in New York City. GO will cover the cost of transportation and overnight stay.
