Relocation Reimbursement 

Newark Fellows will be reimbursed up to $500 in relocation expenses and all other Fellows will be reimbursed up to $300. Please note that GO will not front this cost, you will need to book your own travel. After you have submitted your reimbursement request and all of the required documents, you will receive your payment within 4-6 weeks. 

Use the pre-service reimbursement form you received from Nora to upload itemized receipts for travel. An itemized receipt breaks down every item or service purchase in a transaction, listing each individual item with its quantity, prices, and total amount, providing a clear breakdown of exactly what was bought and how much it cost. 

What we can reimburse for you with an itemized receipt: 

• Plane, train, and bus tickets and subsequent luggage costs 

• Ride share services (such as Lyft or Uber) 

• Mileage reimbursement for car-travel. Use mapquest.com, screenshot the full page and submit it to the form 

• Moving services (such as Uhaul) 

• Appointments completed for onboarding purposes (such as fingerprinting)  

• Pre-approved travel to and from professional development sites 

What we cannot reimburse you for 

• The cost of food or clothing

• The cost of items purchased in anticipation of moving (such as kitchen supplies or furniture) 

• Travel costs to and from professional development sites that were not pre-approved by GO staff 

• Requests that do not include an itemized receipt
